Pop ups....
I've been going through a phase of trying to capture movement on static backgrounds (see yesterday etc), and had a thought about a shot like this a while back. And whilst I was at work late tonight waiting for some software to install, I decided to have a go. I'll revisit it with some bounce flash and a tripod sometime soon - if I remember.
I could also tell you the theory why toast always seems to end up butter side down if you drop it on the floor. But that would spoil what is supposed to be one of life's great mysteries ;)

I presumed it landed butter side down because the weight of the butter will make that side heavier...like loading a dice.
