What does the future hold ?

Whilst I'm very busy with work, I had a couple of minutes today to ponder what is happening around us. Looking on my desk at my stack of very colourful business cards and I've built up over the years, I did ask myself, how many of these businesses will be out of business in a year. 10% ? 20 % ? More ?

I believe the only way to weather the downturn is to remain optimistic. Not in a, 'I'll bury my head in the sand and pretend it's not happening' kind of way, but by keeping a realistic, balanced but ultimately optimistic outlook on what lies ahead. Things will improve and the opportunities are definitely still out there, but business will have to change to find them. It's just sobering to think some of these cards will unfortunately end in the bin in the next few months.
