look what arrived in the post....

So what started this project ? The culmination of a few things, and the burning desire to really push my photography this year. Last year was pretty successful in the work I produced ( a few publications and exhibitions), but I want this year to eclipse that. So far it's been a good start. I submitted a panel of work to the Royal Photographic Society a week ago, and have since been awarded a distinction - Licentiateship of The Royal Photographic Society (LRPS). In fact today, I received my official letter of confirmation in the post.

I know not everyone agrees or see's the point of Societies or organisations like these, but I spend so much time behind the camera, or learning about photography, I felt a little self congratulatory pat on the back was in order. I'm fairly under confident when it comes to my photographic abilities, so being assessed by a respected external body and being told 'your good' does wonders for my self esteem !

I just now need to work towards my ARPS, and continue with all the other photography plans I have, which will of course get a hearing on this blog over the next few months.
